Credentialing Coordinator

IPRO is currently seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to work in the Lake Success, NY office.  The incumbent will be responsible for all activities associated with credentialing and re-credentialing providers.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Processing of provider applications and re-applications.
  • Monitor email and fax line for new applications.
  • Send applications packets to reviewer for completion.
  • Reviewing and loading information into the database tracking system to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with Corporate Programs and Medicaid departments regarding credentialing audits, internal files, running reports and identifying additional clinicians for credentialing doctors at their request.
  • Check monthly invoices from CVO and issue a check request.
  • Backup and cover Administrative Coordinator. Provide overall clerical and administrative support, including scheduling meetings and coordinating conference calls, copying, scanning, organizing, and maintaining files, staff travel arrangements and reimbursement as requested; prepare purchase orders and check requests as requested; compose correspondence as well as proofread and edit outgoing correspondence.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint).
  • Database management skills, including querying and document generation.
  • Attention to detail to assure accuracy of reports and data required.
  • Understanding of healthcare, credentialing, and the need for safeguarding confidential information.



  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in an office environment with multiple project responsibilities, preferably in a healthcare provider office or facility, required.
  • Prior credentialing experience, preferred.
